About

As a businesswoman in Worthing, I've always been driven by ambition and a commitment to success. However, my heart has always belonged to the countryside where I grew up. The pandemic offered a rare opportunity for reflection, allowing me to slow down and reconnect with the simpler, more meaningful aspects of life that I had almost forgotten.

During those quiet months, I found myself drawn back to my roots, remembering the joy of foraging for fruit and spending time in the kitchen with my late mum. Together, we would bake and make jam, creating memories that I now cherish deeply. It was a time of warmth, love, and connection—things I realized I missed dearly.

Inspired by these memories, my husband Gary and I decided to cultivate a fruit and vegetable patch in our garden. We filled it with as many different kinds of produce as we could find, and it quickly became more than just a hobby. It was a way to reconnect with the land and the traditions that had shaped my upbringing. The garden became my sanctuary, a place where I could immerse myself in the simple, yet profound joy of growing, harvesting, and creating.

This venture into gardening reignited my passion for baking and preserving. With each batch of jam, marmalade, and chutney, I felt a renewed sense of purpose and fulfilment. These activities have allowed me to find my happy place once more, combining my love for the countryside with my creative spirit.

Returning to these roots has not only brought me personal joy but has also reminded me of the importance of balance in life. While my business remains a significant part of who I am, this journey back to the countryside has enriched my life in ways I never expected. It has grounded me, provided a sense of peace, and reminded me of the simple pleasures that truly matter.
